Additive Mfg: SLA
Selective Laser Annealing

Selective laser annealing (SLA) creates high accuracy models with an exceptionally smooth finish. Models are created by light-curing (or annealing) consecutive layers of a liquid resin. Compared with FFF printing, SLA requires additional preparation and post processing; A freshly printed model must be rinsed of uncured resin, support structures removed and a period of broad UV exposure for final whole-part annealing.
FormLabs Form 3
Selective Laser Annealing Printer
Selective Laser Annealing printers offer unprecidented accuracy, a smooth surface finish, and a large selectionof materials and properties. The Form 3 is FormLabs' newest model utilizes a single galvanometer with a synchronous optical unit generating Y and X geometry repesctively. FormLabs offers a very large selection of materials with a wide range of properties. Material properties include, various colors, "high resolution," impact resistant, flexibles, medical/food grade, impact resistent, glass filled, a lost wax formulation, clear, etc.
